Good Afternoon!
I have a quick break in the day to send some love and an brief update! The children here are fascinating and changing. I have spent time with the little girls & boys in the yard (the place where they spend the majority of their time now that they are out of school for fall break), the toddlers, and the older girls who take care of the little ones. The older girls facilitate the feeding, cleaning, washing, putting to bed, and anything else you can imagine for the little ones. I have had some precious time with some of these older girls so far, and pray for continued openness from the girls, and service and wisdom to offer them (only from above of course) for my “wisdom” is certainly lacking when I look at the skills and motherly care they provide each day.
The other girls in the volunteer house (where I live) have been great. There are 4 from Denmark, all 19 years old, 2 girls from Chicago, and my roommates Lynn (26) & Jessica (24) from Florida and Texas. They have quickly become friends and helped me to learn my way both at Emmanuel and in Guaimaca.
The surroundings are beautiful, creation-of course. I am thankful the children are able to look out every day and see what their heavenly Father has created. He speaks so clearly through what He has made.
Looking forward to sharing more! So much to say, so little internet access ;) and time.

So good to hear your lovely voice! (Or I guess read your lovely words, whatever. I feel like I can hear you!) Your mom is keeping us posted... she calls to let us know what's going on when she gets to talk to you. I'm so glad everything is going well. Miss you! It's not the same around our house!
ReplyDeleteHey Kwisha. I miss you and just like Erin said, I just hear your sweet voice through your words. I am lifting you up during this wonderful experience and am so thrilled to watch God's plan unfold through your works and words. You are an encouragement to us back home. Thank you for blogging and I can't wait to read more! Love you!!!
